This opera was created in 2020 as part of Manchester Contemporary Youth Opera's 'Opera for Film' project. Young people aged 18-25 with diverse skills collaborated remotely over a six-week period to make operas designed for screen rather than stage.
I was one of two composers (me and Xia). We wrote some scenes together and some separately. I mixed and coordinated recording all the parts in a wonderful experience of collaboration and writing together!
